Is Active Psychotherapy only for athletes?
No. It’s available for anyone who wants to try it, and nearly everyone who does finds it both useful and effective in accessing truth. Chances are you will, too, even if you’ve been lead to believe you don’t have an athletic bone in your body. If you do happen to think of yourself as an athlete, experience shows that you’ll probably enjoy this type of therapy very much. Approach it with an open mind, and let’s see what you learn.
Can I be physically hurt by Active Psychotherapy?
Your safety — both physical and psychological — is of paramount importance to me. Anytime you engage in a physical activity there is a risk of injury. We will discuss physical limitations and fears associated with various activities before ever leaving the office. Though part of all therapies is about creating new limits and pushing boundaries, the idea is for this to be a fun and informative way to catalyze those insights. Pushing you physically and subjecting you to potential injury are never the intention and I go to great lengths to ensure both your psychological and physical safety at all times. However, despite that, physical injuries can happen so that is risk you accept, take full responsibility for, indemnify and hold Sam Spear harmless if you choose to engage in this mode of therapy.
